Four answers, one series.
There is no configurator here. A half-built one is worse than none: it produces a part number nobody can build. Four questions, answered by a person, and you get a section, a basket size and a lead time the same day.
The four
Q1 - Where does it run?
Along a wall or a line, where the floor is seen and the opening must be a line rather than a grate - KitchenSlot 400. The same length under a washdown line, where a grating can be lifted - ProcessTrench 200. A single low point under a sink, at a door or at the corner of the room - DebrisGuard TB. The end of a run, where the line has to be reached - AccessClean HD.
Q2 - What is in the water?
Solids that arrive in bursts - a trash box with the perforation matched to the solids, not to the flow. Fat that sets in the pipe - a separator sized to the simultaneous flow and the fat load, never to the pipe diameter. Both - the box first, separation after it, in that order.
Q3 - What crosses it?
Boots and trolley wheels - bar or mesh. A pallet truck, racking or a bin with castors - a heavy grating, and the load class comes before the drawing. Steel-toe boots and a squeegee are not a load case.
Q4 - How often, and by whom?
Washed daily - a water seal holds at 50 mm. Days between washes - a different cartridge, or a dry trap. Emptied weekly - the box or separator is sized to that interval, not to the average flow. This is the question that gets skipped and then blamed on the drain.
What to send
Send with the answers
- The run length, or the size of the low point
- The falls, marked on a plan if there is one - a photograph of a marked-up drawing is fine
- What goes down it on a bad day, not on a good one
- Slab build-up: how much depth there is from tile to structure
- For a separator: the fixtures draining to it, and who empties it
Send to sales@suditek.com. Drawings, schedules and photographs all work. We will come back with the section, the basket size and the lead time.
Why not a configurator
A price list would be wrong within a quarter and a configurator would need a product database we have not finished. What we can do today is answer a specific room with a specific drawing - and say plainly when the answer is custom.
